HPE Aruba 2530 Switch
The Aruba 2530 switch series provides cost-effective,
reliable, and secure access layer connections for enterprises, branch offices,
and small and medium-sized enterprises. These fully managed switches provide
Layer 2 features with enhanced access security, traffic priority, sFlow, and
IPv6 host support. Suitable for the deployment of various Gigabit and Fast
Ethernet models, including compact and fanless models, suitable for use in
quiet workspaces. PoE+ models can provide up to 370W of power for access
points, IP phones, and cameras. The Aruba 2530 switch series is easy to deploy,
use, and manage using Aruba Airwave or Aruba Central. Aruba Clear Pass provides
network access control and external captive portal support.
Wired and wireless support:
When an Aruba access point is detected, the switch
auto-configuration will automatically configure different settings for the
switch, such as VLAN, CoS, PoE maximum power, and PoE priority. The local user
role defines a set of switch-based policies in areas such as security,
authentication, and QoS. You can use local switch configuration (YA version
only) to assign user roles to a group of users or devices.
Quality of Service (QoS)
Traffic priority (IEEE 802.1p) is used for real-time traffic
classification. Supports eight priority levels mapped to two or four queues,
and uses Weighted Deficit Round Robin (WDRR) or strict priority. Simplified
Quality of Service (QoS) configuration-Prioritize port-based traffic by
specifying ports and priority levels. Realize VLAN-based traffic priority by
specifying VLAN and priority level. Class of Service (CoS) Set IEEE 802.1p
priority tags based on IP address, IP Type of service (ToS), layer 3 protocol,
TCP/UDP port number, source port, and DiffServ. Rate limiting establishes a

target traffic.
Provides single IP address management for up to 16
individual switches. SFlow (RFC 3176) provides wire-speed flow statistics and
monitoring, configured by SNMP and CLI, with three terminal encryption
receivers. The IEEE 802.1AB Link Layer Discovery Protocol (LLDP) automatically
implements the device discovery protocol for easy mapping by network management
applications. Provide local and remote event logging through SNMP (v2c and v3)
and Syslog; provide log limit and log filtering to reduce the number of log
events generated. Port mirroring allows traffic to be mirrored on any port or
network analyzer to assist in diagnosing or detecting network attacks. Remote
monitoring (RMON) provides advanced monitoring and reporting functions for
statistics, history, alarms, and events.
The friendly port name allows a descriptive name to be assigned
to the port. The dual flash image provides independent primary and secondary
operating system files for backup during upgrades. Multiple configuration files
can be easily stored via flash image. Front Panel LED-Locator LED allows users
to set the locator LED on a specific switch to on, blinking, or off; and
simplify troubleshooting by easily locating a specific switch in a switch-like
rack.
Connectivity:

device category or user-specified) to distribute and manage PoE/PoE+ power to
achieve more efficient energy saving. Voice VLAN uses LLDP-MED to automatically
configure VLAN for IP phones. IP multicast (IGMP) prevents IP multicast traffic
from flooding. LLDP-CDP compatibility receives and recognizes CDP packets from
